Anne McMurray Consulting Ltd supports the development of individual leaders, as well as building organisational leadership capacity through working with leadership teams.


Our approach to leader development focuses on helping individuals:

  • develop self awareness into strengths and areas for development, providing encouragement to overcome personal limitations
  • understand what energises them as well as recognising why they avoid certain situations and people
  • increase self-confidence and how to use personal power wisely and effectively
  • decide to actively take up their leadership role to make a positive impact where they find themselves
  • recognise and develop strategies for handling difficult situations
  • increase their ability to work with and through others
  • set goals and plan how to achieve these

Our approach to organisational leadership development focuses on:

  • providing effective corporate leadership which is  respected at all levels in the organisation
  • valuing diversity and finding ways to bring out the best in each other
  • making a positive impact on organisational performance, culture and governance in line with  strategic aims
  • clarifying roles, responsibilities and accountability
  • helping the  leadership team learn and problem solve together as well as surfacing and addressing difficult issues blocking the leadership team’s effectiveness

Experience


Anne McMurray Consulting Ltd has designed and delivered a range of Leadership Development Programmes such as:

  • Ascendant 21C – a public sector leadership programme for directors (with the Beeches Management Centre, 2000 - present)
  • The Irish Health Service Leadership programme (with the Beeches Management Centre and Centre for Creative Leadership, Brussels, 2001 - present)
  • Design and delivery consultant to the All-Ireland Institute of Public Health Leadership programme, 2001 - present
  • New Directions Partnership Capacity Building Programme to deliver the regional economic development plan for the north west,
  • Making the Most of Difference Programme – a woman leadership development programme (with ITS, 1998 - 2004)
  • Children’s Services Leadership Development with the North West Health Board, RoI (2003)

Anne McMurray developed the “How To Do It Guide” for the Northern Ireland Management and Leadership Strategy in 2006.
